The major settings in the book are the orphanage Felix used to live in and Barney's house.
One of the main settings of the story would be the orphanage because that was where Felix spent most of his life (in the book). Felix first came to the orphanage as a very small boy, he was left there because of how dangerous it was for Jews to roam around while the Nazis were in power. But since he didn't know that it was dangerous to go out of the orphanage, he soon left looking for his parents.
The second main setting of the book would be Barney's house. At Barney's house, Felix and the other kids were fed, had a place to sleep, and so many other things. Barney's house was like a home to Felix and the others. Although Barney and the kids got caught and had to be taken into hostage, the house was definitely very important to them.
