In my opinion, if the book Once was rated from 1-10, I would give it an 8. Once I started to read the book, I couldn't put it down. The book was a good example of how Jewish people were treated during the Holocaust. I liked how since Felix never knew why the Nazis were treating the Jews so badly, he just makes up what is happening based on what he sees. Like when he saw the Nazis burning up the Jewish Bible, he came up with the thought that the Nazis were Jewish book burners. Because of Felix making up the stories, it gave the book a different twist, because you got to see how Felix thought about the Nazi's, even though you know that his stories were nowhere near what really happened at the time. Even though it was nice to read Felix's side of the story, what surprised me was that no one ever told Felix what the Nazis were up to. I thought that maybe Barney or someone at the orphanage would tell Felix, but no one ever did. I also thought that it was extremely nice of Felix to save Zelda and take care of her. If that was me, I probably would not have done all the nice things that Felix did, like carry her on his back when he was extremely tired, or risking his life to bring her a carrot. But overall I would say the book Once is a good book and I would definitely recommend people to read it.
